Intermiel works 5,000 hives on the same Saint-Benoit de Mirabel land it has farmed for fifty years and bottles the crop as "Miel brut de printemps" and autumn raw honey, "Miel en rayon brut" comb honey and single-flower liquid honeys — clover, raspberry, blueberry, goldenrod, buckwheat, wildflower — from 150 g jars up to 300 kg drums, alongside a room of honey wines (Médiéval, Rosée, Verge d'or, Bouquet Printanier), an api-gin and honey vodka, cider, propolis, soaps and candles.
Natural honey is HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list and honey wine is a fermented beverage under HTS 2206.00.90, both carrying a 50% additional duty since August 22, 2026. Intermiel's entry in the Groupe Export Agroalimentaire member directory names "États-Unis" among the markets it ships "hydromels (vins de miel), alcool d'érable, cidres de glace, eaux-de-vie, miel" to, so its two biggest lines both cross the border into that duty. Intermiel has not said publicly what it has done to its American orders. · content.govdelivery.com, Aug 22, 2026
