1818 Farm & Cidery makes small-batch, naturally fermented ciders on the Hoppner family's farm outside Ottawa, among them Golden Child, a wild-fermented heirloom cider of Golden Russet and McIntosh, Nowhere to Rhum (which, like Golden Child, scored 91 points from WineAlign), Boys Brunch and Blackbird. The farm also grows organic vegetables for weekly Harvest Boxes and runs a farm store and events.
1818 Farm & Cidery's packaged ciders (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. We have not found a public source on whether the cidery sold in the US.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
