An open-fermentation brewery in the Ottawa Valley, run by the Hodgins family, making more than 20 pub ales, including its flagship Amber Ale, Beckwith Ale, Blueberry Wheat, Irene's Red, an East Coast IPA and stout, plus a cider from pressed Ontario apples, in cans and kegs.
Ashton's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") and cider (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Brewed at "113 Old Mill Rd, Ashton, ON" on the banks of the Jock River, where the brewery says it is "one of a few breweries in North America that practices open fermentation"; its cider uses "freshly pressed Ontario apples".
