A small-batch brewery in Kelowna's 1920s Surtees dairy barn pouring 20-plus beers, with core brews like Lakeshore Lager, Raspberry Wheat Ale, Headturner Hazy IPA, Blueberry Beret Berliner Weisse, Wise Owl Nitro Stout and Breaking Bread Amber Ale made with leftover bread, sold by the pint, in cans, crowlers and growlers.
Barn Owl's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Colin Pistawka, our Kelowna-born brewer and KSS grad, earned his Biochemistry degree at the University of Victoria before apprenticing under Brewmaster Chris Lukie at Swans Brewery on Vancouver Island.
