Barrel Heart makes old-world farmhouse beers aged in oak barrels that once held wine, many refermented on Ontario fruit: aged saisons such as Cherries Aged Like Grace and Peaches High on Summertide, aged goses like Washed Away by Sea and Dance Upon Plums, the Feral Heart farmhouse lager and an aged wit, all in 750 ml bottles, served with food at its Michelin Bib Gourmand taproom.
Barrel Heart's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Made by brewer-owner Mark Horsley and bottled and cellared by the brewery, with its taproom and bottle shop "at 104 King St. W. in Dundas, Ont. (the historic Dundas post office)"; the brewery says the beer is "set down into oak barrels that once housed wine" after the fall harvest and "Once bottled, the beer matures in our cellars".
