Scott Battram builds custom goaltender gear to order in Norwich, Ontario: Retribution and Retro leg pads at $1,800 CDN, catch gloves, blocker gloves, upper-body protectors at $700 CDN, gel throat collars and repalming, cut from Clarino and Oxford nylon over Plastozote and DOW Ethafoam cores.
Goalie leg pads, catch gloves, blockers and upper-body protectors are ice hockey equipment other than balls and skates, HTS 9506.99.25 on the CBP Section 338 list, so every custom set Battram ships to an American goaltender carries a 50% duty on top of the price, in effect since August 22, 2026.
