Bayfield Berry Farm makes a long list of hard ciders from its own fruit, from the extra-dry Olde Traditional and the dry Estate Apple to Apple & Pear, Apple & Saskatoon Berry and Bayfield Blue, plus fruit wines such as Apple, Sour Cherry and Gooseberry, and European-style fruit schnapps like Williams Pear and German Plum.
Bayfield Berry Farm's packaged hard ciders (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling"), fruit wines and fruit schnapps can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. Everything is made on the farm at "77697 Orchard Line, Bayfield, ON, N0M 1G0", which calls itself "the first distillery, fruit winery and fruit cidery in Huron County". The family bought the 80-acre parcel in 2001, planted 27 acres of fruit and berries, and between 2017 and 2019 built a processing facility for its ciders and alcoholic drinks.
