The Manitoba Co-operator reported on August 31, 2026 that "Canadian honey exports to the United States have ground to a halt under a new 50 per cent tariff", and the Canadian Beekeepers Federation's executive director named BeeMaid as one of the two largest Canadian packers selling into the US market. Every drop comes from the co-op's own members: "We only source honey from our co-operative of local beekeepers. They harvest the honey and transport it to our packing facilities in Winnipeg, MB and Spruce Grove, AB", a membership of "over 300 beekeepers across Western Canada" who own the company that sells their honey.
