Bowen Cider House is a family cidery on Bowen Island making a range of ciders from dry to semi-sweet, including Seymour Bay Scrumpy and Granny Cowan (both dry, 6.1%), the single-varietal Lady Alexandra from Pink Lady apples, Horseshoe Bay Haskap, a barrel-aged blend and a small-batch perry from BC Bosc and Bartlett pears.
Bowen Cider House's packaged cider and perry (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. We found no public statement from Bowen Cider House about US sales; its cider finder lists stockists in the Vancouver area.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
Made in Canada
The cider is made on the family farm at 1125 Grafton Rd on Bowen Island, BC, where "three generations of cider lovers have grown Bowen Cider House from the ground up—starting with raw land and planting over 700 apple trees across 55+ heritage varieties"; blends also use BC and Okanagan fruit.
