Chain Yard makes cider in Halifax's North End from Annapolis Valley juice — mainstays Foundation, Hopped Up (dry Northern Spy with Cascade and Centennial hops) and Intrepid, plus a long run of seasonals such as Sidra, Dabinett and Rhuby Rosé — in 473ml cans and bottles sold at most NSLC stores and in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Chain Yard's packaged cider (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. We found no public record of Chain Yard selling its cider in the US; it sells through the NSLC, Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation stores, local bars and its own taproom and online store.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026

You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
