Choinière makes dry, living farm ciders from its own family orchard, with wild yeasts, natural bubbles, no filtration and no added sulfites: Armandie, its classic bottle-conditioned cider, Boston Post, Pippin with wild apples, Potato Hill, Cuvée Soeurs Racines macerated on grape skins, Chapman in 473 mL cans, and an ice cider.
Choinière's packaged ciders, including its ice cider (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling"), can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. We found no public statement from Choinière about US sales; its sales outlets page lists shops and restaurants in Quebec only.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
Made in Canada
The ciders are made at the family farm, "92 chemin McIntosh, Frelighsburg, Qc", from the farm's own apples: "Growing apples on family land is part of our DNA," and "the work starts with our apples, the terroir finds a voice." Gabriel, who grew up on the farm, "officially began his cider production in 2018."
