Daniela D’Ambros and her family run more than 1,000 hives across the Okanagan and the Peace River Valley and pack the crop at Falkland, B.C.: Canada No. 1 Golden and White, classic creamed honey, raw Alfalfa, Fireweed, Clover, Dandelion and Buckwheat, cinnamon, chocolate, ginger, lavender and propolis infusions, freeze-dried fruit honeys, honeycomb, bee pollen, raw beeswax and beeswax candles.
Natural honey is HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list and beeswax candles fall under 3406.00.00, and both carry an extra 50% duty at the US border in effect since August 22, 2026, so every jar of Fireweed or No. 1 Golden and every candle Honey Onyx sends to an American buyer now lands at half again the price.Source: content.govdelivery.com, Aug 22, 2026
