A family-owned fruit winery near Buckhorn making more than 60 fruit wines, ciders and coolers, including Buckhorn Cider (dry, 7%), Kawartha Cider (slightly sweet, 5.5%) and a single-variety Golden Russet Cider, alongside fruit wines such as Rhubarb, Black Currant, Haskap and a Pumpkin wine made from Buckhorn pumpkins, plus a new velvet cherry mead.
Kawartha Country Wines' packaged ciders (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") and bottled fruit wines (HTS 2206.00.90, fermented beverages other than grape wine, beer or cider) can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. Everything is made at the winery at "2452 County Road 36, Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada, K0L 1J0", where "our wine making facilities, tasting room and gift shop are housed in an 1866 authentic pioneer log cabin and 1889 board and batton house", using fruit from Ontario farms it names, among them "McLean Berry Farm (Lakefield, ON), Warner's Farm (Beamsville, ON), Allin's Orchard (Newcastle, ON)".
