L'Octant is a production-only microbrewery in Rimouski's industrial park making canned beers with space names, including the Hypernova American IPA, the Toucan NEIPA, the Géocoucou brut IPA, the Étoile Noire American porter, the Nébuleuse witbier and the Ursa Minor and Ursa Major double stouts.
L'Octant's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt"), the cans it sells through retailers, can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
