La Société secrète distils in a former 1875 Anglican church on the Gaspésie coast, making Les Herbes Folles gin from Québec malted barley and wheat, the six-year Soleil Noir whisky, and Eau-de-sève, a maple spirit.
La Société secrète's gin, whisky and maple spirit are Canadian products under HTS 2208.50.00, 2208.30.60 and 2208.90.75, which carried a 50% US duty from August 22, 2026 and, since September 29, 2026, can no longer be imported into the United States at all.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 29, 2026
