A Saguenay microbrewery that cans its beers for sale across Quebec: hoppy brews such as La malt avenante and La soutien-gorge, signature beers like La criminelle (a 9.5% imperial stout) and La graincheuse (a Belgian strong ale), nitro and house brews, plus non-alcoholic beers and the Joli Rouge ciders it produces. It also runs four beer-focused restaurants in Jonquière, Chicoutimi and Quebec City.
La Voie Maltée's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") and the packaged cider it makes (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. We found no source on whether the brewery sold in the US.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
Made in Canada
The beer is brewed at the company's own production plant in Chicoutimi, listed on its site as "Usine de production 224 rue des Laurentides Chicoutimi, G7H 7X8"; the brewery was set up in 2014 as "la microbrasserie d'une capacité de 30 000 hl" to put its beers in cans "partout au Québec".
