Menaud is a distillery and brewery in Clermont, Charlevoix, that ferments and distils its own grain alcohol from Isle-aux-Coudres wheat and rye into Gin Maria, a wheat-and-rye vodka, Camerise liqueur, Vermouth, Génépi and Absinthe, alongside its beers.
Menaud's gin, vodka, vermouth, liqueurs and beer are Canadian products under HTS 2208.50.00, 2208.60.20, 2205.10.30, 2208.70.00 and 2203.00.00, which carried a 50% US duty from August 22, 2026 and, since September 29, 2026, can no longer be imported into the United States at all. Menaud's own site says its spirits were sold in the United States ("dans quelques États américains") and it had a page for ordering alcoholic drinks for delivery to the United States.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 29, 2026
