A family brewery in the Mauricie that pioneered gluten-free beer in North America with its Messagère range (blonde, rousse, a millet lager and a berry ale, made with its own millet, rice and buckwheat malt), alongside classics such as the IPA de la Nouvelle-France NEIPA, Orange Mécanique porter and Double Fruits sour, in 473 ml cans.

Nouvelle-France's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. We found no public statement from the brewery about US sales.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026

You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.

Made in Canada

Brewed at 90, Rang Rivière aux Écorces in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts since 1998. The brewery malts its own grain ("nous lançons le projet malterie Nouvelle-France nous permettant de produire notre propre malt") and grows much of it on the family's Ferme Nouvelle-France.
