Next Friend makes dry, natural ciders from backyard and trail fruit around Manitoba: Cherry, Plum, Pompom, Ruby, Darling, Cheeky and Wild One in 750 ml bottles, Pink and Press On in 355 ml cans, and Reclaimed ciders made from grocery fruit that would otherwise be thrown away.
Next Friend's packaged cider (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. We found no public statement from the maker about US sales.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
Made in Canada
Founder Jesse Oberman and "a small team of family and friends" work with fruit from "forgotten trees in backyards and on trails in Manitoba" at "398 Daly St N, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2K6": "We operate out of Low Life Barrelhouse in Winnipeg, Manitoba." The Reclaimed ciders use grocery fruit that "usually isn’t local or organic", and the labels say where it came from.
