Yellowknife's brewery and its brewpub, The Woodyard Brewhouse & Eatery, pour about a dozen house beers such as the award-winning Kicksled Cream Ale, Turbid Witbier, Ragged Pine Pale Ale and Honey Bucket Nut Brown, sold in cans at NWT and Alberta liquor stores. It also sells Forager Gin, made with foraged Northwest Territories botanicals.
NWT Brewing's canned beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Its cans sell in the Northwest Territories and Alberta; we found no public statement about US sales.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
