As of Tuesday, it will actually be illegal for us to export our goods to the United States because of the decisions they’ve made down there.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 29, 2026
SFR Distillery's whisky, gin, vodka, liqueurs and apple brandy are Canadian spirits under HTS 2208.30.60, 2208.50.00, 2208.60.20, 2208.70.00 and 2208.90.30, which carried a 50% US duty from August 22, 2026 and, since September 29, 2026, can no longer be imported into the United States at all. The distillery had planned a major push into the US market with its flagship whisky and has turned to Europe and other provinces instead, general manager and master distiller Adam Brierley told CP24 and CBC Ottawa.
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.

On shifting export plans from the US to Europe.
There could be a race to the bottom for the larger producers that craft guys like us just won’t be able to keep up with because our costs are that much higher in comparison,
