Union Libre is an orchard and vineyard in Dunham that made Quebec's first fire cider, from apple must concentrated by heat, and still makes it alongside a traditional-method sparkling cider of 100% McIntosh and an aperitif cider aged in Sauternes barrels; from its own vines it also makes a traditional-method sparkling Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot gris, a white and a rosé.
Union Libre's packaged fire, sparkling and aperitif ciders (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") and its sparkling and still wines (HTS 2204.10.00 and 2204.21.50) can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. We have not found a public source on whether the estate sold in the US; its shop delivers within Quebec.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026

The estate at "1047, rue Bruce Dunham (Québec) J0E 1M0" says "nous cultivons vignes et pommiers et élaborons nos vins et nos cidres au domaine"; its fire cider is made from apples "cueillies et sélectionnées à la main avant d’être pressées par variété", and cider has been made on the site since 1992.
