Drumheller's own brewery makes beers named for the valley's past — Capstone pilsner, Full Steam copper lager, Namesake double dry-hopped hazy IPA, Prairie Icon farmhouse ale, Wayne light lager and the May Day fruit sours — plus dry, oak-aged ciders and a perry: Helmsman apple cider, Fortitude cherry apple cider and Matinee ginger perry.
Valley Brewing's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") and its packaged ciders and perry (HTS 2206.00.15, "Cider, fermented, whether still or sparkling") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. Brewed at the brewery and tasting room at 242 3 Ave West in downtown Drumheller — "BREWED IN THE BADLANDS SHARED IN THE BADLANDS", as the site puts it — with malt from small Alberta maltsters such as Red Shed Malting (Penhold) and Origin Malting (Strathmore); its ciders and perry are fermented from juice from a Fraser Valley, BC orchard partner.
