One of Quebec's pioneering microbreweries (since 1987), maker of the Boréale Classiques (Blonde, Rousse, Cuivrée, Noire, Blanche, Dorée, IPA, Lager and a new light range), the IPA du Nord-Est, the Artisan series and rotating Épisodes, in bottles and cans. It also makes the Hors Sentiers non-alcoholic range, which the ban does not cover.

Boréale's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Boréale says it favours the Quebec market but has been in the US through "un projet pilote avec des quantités très limitées", and those packaged shipments are now barred.
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.

Brewed by Les Brasseurs du Nord at "875, boulevard Michèle Bohec Blainville, QC J7C 5J6"; the brewery moved from Saint-Jérôme to Blainville in 1994 to "augmenter leur production", and offers tours of "notre microbrasserie". A second brewpub, the Relais Boréale on Jean-Talon in Montréal, doubles as a test brewery.
