A Lanaudière brewery making beer since 2006, known for German styles and early Quebec sours: Ostalgia Blonde and Rousse, Krumlov Bohemian Pilsner, Helles, the smoked Boson de Higgs, Saison Station 55, the Berlin AlexanderPlatz Berliner weisse and the barrel-aged Ho.st in the shell series, sold in cans at its Lavaltrie shop and tasting room and at specialty stores across Quebec.

Hopfenstark's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty from August 22, 2026. The brewery has had an American market: its home page says its beers are found at specialty retailers in the United States and Europe, and its news page says that when the Berlin AlexanderPlatz found no buyers in Quebec in 2009, it turned to the American market, where the beer was a big success.
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
