PEI Bees runs just over 200 hives around central Prince Edward Island and sells the honey off the farm at 63 MacKinnon Court in Mermaid: wildflower in 375 ml jars at $8, 750 ml jars at $14 and 3 kg pails at $40, plus creamed honey in 3 kg and 500 g.
PEI Bees sells natural honey, HTS 0409.00.00 on the CBP Section 338 list, which has carried a 50% US duty under HTS 0409.00.00 since August 22, 2026. The farm sells at the gate in Mermaid and through Island retailers, so any jar or pail bound for an American buyer now carries the duty on top of the price. PEI Bees has not said publicly what that has done to its sales.Source: content.govdelivery.com, Aug 22, 2026

Made in Canada
Every jar comes off the farm's own hives: "The honey we sell comes from our own hives. We run just over 200 hives spread throughout central PEI.", and the extraction stays below 35C so the honey is left "unfiltered, pure and natural with minimal heat treatment".
