The Charlottetown brewery behind Gahan beer and Beach Chair Lager, canning Gahan Island Red Ale, Honey Wheat Ale, 1772 IPA, Blueberry Ale, Iron Bridge Brown Ale, Sydney Street Oatmeal Stout and Vic Park Pale Ale in 473 mL cans. The same family of businesses runs five Gahan House pubs, in Charlottetown, Halifax, Saint John (Port City), Fredericton and Moncton; the Saint John pub brews in house.
PEI Brewing Company's packaged beer (HTS 2203.00.00, "Beer made from malt") can no longer ship to the US: the US import ban on listed Canadian alcohol took effect September 29, 2026, after a 50% Section 338 duty that applied from August 22, 2026. Its beer is sold in PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta. An older Canada's Food Island export directory profile lists the United States among its international markets; we found no recent public statement from the company about US sales.Source: whitehouse.gov, Sep 8, 2026
You must be of legal drinking age in your province to buy alcohol. Rules on shipping alcohol between provinces vary, so buy from the maker directly or through your provincial liquor store. We only link to makers; nothing is sold on this site.
