Made-to-order furniture can offer choices of wood, finish, dimensions or hardware. Ask how those choices affect lead time and returns, and whether you will approve a drawing or finish sample.

How do I plan delivery and care?
Before paying, ask whether delivery is parcel, curbside, threshold or room-of-choice, and who handles assembly. Confirm packaging removal and damage-reporting deadlines. Then use the maker’s care directions for the actual finish; advice for an oiled slab may differ from advice for a sprayed finish or outdoor stain.
